Track your blood sugar with ease.

Blood Glucose Monitors

Managing diabetes effectively starts with knowing your blood glucose levels. Whether you’re a healthcare professional helping patients or an individual managing your own diabetes, having reliable and easy-to-use blood glucose monitoring tools is essential.

Glucose Meters: Fingerstick vs. Scan

Fingerstick Glucose Testing

Traditional blood glucose meters require a small fingerstick to obtain a blood sample. This method is highly accurate and essential for making treatment decisions when:

  • The Check Blood Glucose symbol appears.
  • Symptoms do not match your meter or CGM readings.
  • You suspect a reading may be inaccurate.
  • You experience signs of high or low blood sugar.

Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) – Scan Instead of Stick

The FreeStyle Libre 14-day system offers a convenient alternative to frequent fingersticks:

  • Discreet & easy: Simply scan the sensor on your arm to get your glucose reading.
  • No fingerstick calibrations required.
  • 14 days of continuous monitoring.
  • Tracks trends and patterns to help detect episodes of hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia.

Note: Fingersticks are still required in certain situations as outlined above.

FreeStyle Libre 14 Day System

The FreeStyle Libre 14-day Flash Glucose Monitoring System is designed for adults (18+) with diabetes and helps replace traditional blood glucose testing for treatment decisions. It provides valuable insights into your glucose trends over time, allowing for better management of your therapy.

Important Safety Information

  • Remove the sensor before MRI, CT scan, X-ray, or diathermy treatment.
  • The system does not have automatic alarms; readings appear only when scanned.
  • Not approved for pregnant women, dialysis patients, or critically ill individuals.
  • Always follow standard precautions for sensor placement and blood handling.
